Description
In this weekend of Self Care, massage therapists will learn how to ground and center themselves in order to create better boundaries for working with the public. In this weekend of meditation and yoga therapists will learn simple ways to recover their energy more quickly after exhausting massage sessions, as well as how to wake up every morning in a body that feels tension-free and pain-free!
These skills can also serve as a tutorial so therapists can teach their clients how to meditate and effectively stretch their muscles between massage sessions, thus making bodywork more effective for the client and less taxing on the practitioner.
Specific breakdown of classes:
Yin Yoga for Bodyworkers:
Suitable for beginners and expert yogis, this course which is approved for 6 hours through NCBTMB will guide massage therapists through deep stretches held for long periods of time to target fascia and connective tissues. Students will learn that yoga is not about gymnastics and tight pants so much as it is about connecting deeply to a renewable source of energy within by accepting, allowing an honoring the emotional and physical body.
Meditation for Bodyworkers:
Suitable for those with no experience meditating and for those who have dabbled in meditation for years, this course which is approved for 6 CEs by NCBTMB will guide massage therapists to discover 7 different ways of meditating in search of the method that works best for each individual learning style and way of life.
