Fundamentals of Acupressure theory

Description

In this course you will learn the fundamentals of Acupressure theory including Yin and Yang, Zang Fu, as well as Jing and Luo will be discussed. You will learn the basic channel trajectories and functions of the organ systems. You will learn basic diagnosis and treatment strategies utilizing the 8 principles. The ideas of distal imaging and treatment of pain will be covered. Major acupressure points and point combinations will be taught as well as techniques to stimulate these points. This course will allow you to begin incorporating Acupressure into your practice safely and effectively.

The North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy says this about required courses:

“The courses you take must be from an Approved Provider for Continuing Education by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), a course approved by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), or from an accredited college or university.” This course is approved by the NCCAOM.
